Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services is seeking a Computer Systems Architect to drive the development of the Defense Systems Sector Digital Transformation strategy and architecture in collaboration with the new enterprise Digital Transformation Office (DTO). The successful candidate will define the sector digital capability roadmap, strategy and architecture to enable the deployment of advanced enterprise digital capabilities across the Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Execution/Capture, Global Supply Chain and Business Management functions. The candidate will also translate business needs into capability requirements and help drive organizational change management. A critical element of the role will be to technically align and/or integrate enterprise and sector/division digital capabilities and develop a single sector architecture and roadmap that best achieves business outcomes for the sector. This position will report to the Systems Engineering Manager within the Defense Systems Sector PMO. Position Summary Lead the creation of architectures and roadmaps for the Defense Systems Sector Digital Transformation aligned to each functional focus area and DTO capability portfolio. These architectures and roadmaps will be focused on enabling outcomes for Defense Systems eg, cost reduction, efficiencies, speed to market and reuse / tool harmonization across domains. Collaborate and coordinate with the DTO, sector, divisions, industry and suppliers to achieve innovative solutions and strategies for Defense Systems digital capabilities. Drive strategy and execution towards a common set of tools and Authoritative Sources of Truth (ASoTs) across the Defense Systems sector. Assist with prioritization, budgeting, and resource planning of IT work to support the sector Digital Transformation. Drive deployment and adoption of information technology solutions across Defense Systems and the integration of enterprise and sector/division capabilities. Maximize the alignment of Enterprise Services with sector operating models, strategies, and investments as well as with the DTO. Drive improvements in IT operational excellence and cost control for digital capabilities within Defense Systems. Monitor customer satisfaction levels with service delivery and engage resources to assist as required to meet and exceed service level objectives. Communicate the Defense Systems Sector technology strategy to partners, management, industry and employees. Demonstrate the highest levels of leadership integrity, openness, compliance and honesty in all business interactions. Additional Responsibilities/Duties include: Participate in management decisions regarding digital capability governance. Maintain current information about technology standards and compliance regulations. Identify technology opportunities and risks for the sector. Monitor technology and industry trends that could impact the Defense Systems Sector. Provide leadership to Defense Systems Sector stakeholders in a fashion that supports the company's culture, mission and values. Work in a consultative fashion with other sector functional leaders such as advanced development, production and operations as an advisor of technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Conduct research and case studies on leading edge technologies, including alignment and assessment of implementation challenges. Support customer proposal development to pull through digital capabilities into our sector program offerings and operations. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree, or related technical discipline, and 10 years of applicable experience. 8 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 6 years with a PhD. Experience developing and deploying architectures to support one or more of the following capabilities: Integrated Development Environments (IDE), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Model-Based Engineering (MBE), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Proven Ability to provide strategic direction regarding Information Technology products, processes, applications, and technology. Demonstrated experience managing projects including budgets and schedules. Experience with developing proposals and project statements of work for external bid and competitive differentiation. Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize, plan, and execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality results. Demonstrated ability to pro-actively identify issues and solutions to those issues, and drive issues rapidly to closure. Prior experience with identifying systemic technical and service delivery challenges affecting the service delivery; engage constructively to identify solutions. Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in product development, product design, engineering, manufacturing engineering, production quality, procurement, or product support. Experience with cyber security concepts and architectures for unclassified and classified environments. Experience with IT/OT architectures for manufacturing shop-floor environments. Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (eg, Cameo) Active DoD Top Secret clearance. Salary Range: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD Salary Range 2: $125,800 USD - $188,600 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
