Job Description: We have an immediate opportunity for a Solutions Architect to join our talent team to provide full range, application support services to one of our federal clients. This entails the development, modernization, enhancement, and maintenance of internal custom administrative and enterprise-wide applications and support for the client's internet, intranet, and document collaboration tools. The Solutions Architect provides leadership and vision for architecture, design, development of future environments with specific expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) capabilities and offerings. Implements cloud solutions and applies Agile methodology in leading solutions and ensuring UI/UX design needs are met and event driven with specific mission driven capability MI/MX. Implement solutions to optimize operational environments. Assists with the planning, monitoring, and analyzing business solutions from a technical perspective. Use analysis and design techniques to solve business processes through information technology and leads sessions to develop solutions for business needs or problems. Identifies process improvements and improve product delivery for the client and internal stakeholders. The Solutions Architect will work closely with the Project Manager as a designated Senior Staff member and will serve as the Technical Lead. *Hybrid work environment that includes both in-office and remote/telework via secured Government VPN connection. Typical responsibilities include:Lead AWS Infrastructure Environment buildouts and review and/or recommend best architecture for cloud projects.Work with team members and key stakeholders to confirm AWS Cloud Infrastructure capabilities.Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, support the automated provisioning and scaling of AWS resources, and manage the overall code repository.Work with key stakeholders and technology professionals to properly understand business requirements, recommend process improvements, and provide comprehensive documentation.Provide requirements management and business analysis support to identify and develop "as-is" and "to-be" business processes.Provide support and be capable of managing a variety of AWS and other services and tools approved for use in the AWS cloud.Support the development and implementation of new custom-code and/or low-code applications, as well as enhancements to existing applications.Create level of effort and roadmap/project plans for development, prototypes, user-friendly templates, designs and content, and ongoing business analysis.Support ongoing operations and maintenance of existing and legacy applications, services, cloud, and GOTS/COTS applications.Utilize Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) phases include planning, system analysis, system design, development, implementation, integration and testing, and operations and maintenance.Utilize and deploy DevSecOps Models in conjunction with Agile application development Model and Architecture.Integrate IT Security into the application development process from the beginningEmploy and use method of automated Code generation and standardization to reduce coding time and to minimize errorsEnsure application products are fully compliant with NIST, DoD and Agency-level security requirementIntegrate/enforce automated standardization technique in the software engineering and lifecycle process across SAMHSA's entire application platformProvide data management support including maintaining security standards and addressing vulnerabilities as well as ensuring data integrity is maintained and transmitted securely.Support the development and implementation of repeatable testing frameworks.Collaborate with ISSOs to ensure adherence to security policies, procedures, and practices.Participate in meetings that discuss the operations/supporting infrastructure of the systems of this portfolio including conference calls, Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings, Technology Review Board (TRB) meetings, Configuration Change Management Board (CCMB) meetings, etc.Ensure all contract deliverables are provided to the customer and approved per the requirements of the contract.Ensure constant and proactive communication with customers, team members, and subcontractors to actively mitigate any issues or concerns.Promote and encourage a "one team" attitude at all levels internally and externally.
