Responsibilities: The Configuration Management (CM) Specialist position, supports the Intelligence Community (IC) client's Communication (COMM) Directorate's, Corporate Application Office (CAO). Using both a technical advisory and hands-on approach, the CM specialist is responsible for supporting Configuration Management, Maintenance, and Incident Management functions for the CAO, and evaluates and triage's tickets and assigns them to appropriate areas of responsibility. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Operating configuration management and incident management tools (ServiceNow, HelpNow, BOSS, Confluence).Supporting system configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups through the Request for Change process. Running CAO Infrastructure reports and facilitating CCB meetings.Submitting and Manage Approvals for Planned and Unplanned outages for the Corporate Applications Office (CAO).Monitoring the maintenance activity status and update the log accordingly.Verifying maintenance activities are documented on the CAO Operation Calendar.Sending out reminders for the upcoming planned maintenances activitiesClosing maintenance activities after completion.Submitting and managing Emergency Maintenance Activities from start to finish.Providing support for configuration identification, control, reporting, and auditing.Managing and triaging tickets for services and applications and assigning them to the appropriate Program Managers and Teams.Providing analysis of current processes and provide recommendations for improvement.Performing tasks to ensure new configuration management baseline operating parameters are documented, comply with standard configurations, and are logistically sustainable.Providing support for configuration identification, control, reporting, and auditing.Assisting in developing and documenting new configuration management processes and procedures.Training requirement engineers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of CM quality standards.Providing guidance to less experienced team members and preparing agendas as required. Qualifications: Required Skills:Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.Experience with Project Management, Schedule Development and Microsoft Project.BS 8-10 years of experience, MS 6-8 years of experience, PhD 3-5 years of experience5-7 years of Configuration Management experience.Knowledge/experience working in the Intelligence Community.Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and formulate solutions for problems/issues.Strong interpersonal, customer interaction, written, and verbal and briefing skills with ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.Desired Skills:Experience with configuration management and incident management tools (such as ServiceNow, HelpNow, J-SMART, BOSS, Confluence, or similar).BS Engineering Management, Information Science or equivalent experience.
