Responsibilities: Peraton is seeking a Configuration Management and Data Management Specialist in support of our NASA Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract. The position will be flexible for occasional telework with some travel to the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD and other NASA locations as needed. The selected candidate will be an integral part of a world class team that ensures NASA space-ground communications and associated services are reliable and meet mission requirements. As prime contractor on the NASA Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution contract (SENSE) contract you will be a part of a dynamic team responsible for systems engineering, design, development, integration, test, and maintenance of a platform which will enable any mission to be supported by any service provider. The team is also responsible for the delivery of capabilities into Operations. The platform will enable NASA to provide communications and navigation services in the Near Space Region to NASA missions and other customers. This position will be responsible for the following:Leads Configuration Management Function for an overall system including all hardware and software configuration items and processes associated with maintaining configuration management of the system.Prepares change request artifacts collects review comments, and tracks change request action itemsCoordinates Configuration Control Boards (CCB) meetings; Configuration Review Boards (CRBs) Managing Change Requests (CRs). identifies and collects data associated with configuration management system and maintains the database of changes.Performing change management processes.Creating and establishing baseline (as-required, as-designed, as-built and as-maintained) configurations.Collaborates with team members to restore baseline configurations to maintain operational service and/or identify system issues and support the integration new changes to the baseline as required. Qualifications: Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Science or related technical field.5+ years of configuration management and data management (CMDM) experience.Experience working in a large scale, dynamic, schedule and deadline-oriented environment, requiring immediate responses with a sense of urgency and quality.This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
