The Role The CIB Finance Control Management Governance team is responsible managing executive attestations, escalations and control forums for the CIB Finance Control Manager and CIB Controller. The individual works to set appropriate agendas and ensures messaging and communication is appropriate to senior management. Specifically, the associate will work on the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and CCAR CFO Attestation Program (CCAP) attestations where the c-suite executives in the CIB attest to accuracy of the financial statements. Additionally, the candidate will manage the CIB Finance Control Forum agenda and materials and escalations into CIB and Global Finance Control Committees. The candidate should have exceptional communication and presentation skills, understanding of the SOX and CCAP programs and demonstrate solid judgment and leadership skills, as well as ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously in a complex environment. Responsibilities: The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of CIB SOX and CCAR attestation process, Control forums and other governance forums for all of CIB Finance Problem Solving/Issue resolution and management/awareness of all and any noteworthy items impacting the SOX and CCAR programs to show progress intra attestation cycles Organizing the schedule and timelines to perform monthly and quarterly deliverables for key attestations and meetings. Work with key stakeholders to identify, assess and document material and noteworthy items for each attestation cycle. Partner with Finance Control Managers, Operations Control Managers, Business Control Managers and SOX/CCAP Scoping team to ensure awareness and traction of items raised for attestation. Control governance & reporting - attend and manage governance forum and provide appropriate metrics reporting, being able to take a massive amount of information and develop broad categories of themes, and distill information for executive management Support Business Management related tasks for CIB Finance Required Skills/Experience: Bachelor's Degree Required Previous experience in Controls and various Finance roles Strong written and verbal communication skills across various levels of the organization. Strong CIB Organizational awareness, across finance, operations and technology. Ability to identify key messages and articulate complex issues concisely Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent deliverables in an organized manner Requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and the ability to work as part of a team Ability to execute tasks efficiently under aggressive targets and effectively manage to changes in plan Solid knowledge of PowerPoint External reporting and experience within a financial institution beneficial.
