Temporary Sourcer

The City's Department of Human Resources is looking for a highly skilled Sourcer to become one of the important resources on our Talent Acquisition team. This individual will help us find talented candidates for various positions in support of our business needs. The ideal candidate has a passion for finding candidates others cannot, is a creative, research-oriented, problem solver, with excellent relationship building skills, and is enthusiastic about helping individuals find promising careers.

As a member of our team, a Sourcer works closely with our Talent Acquisition Analysts to develop strategies to find and attract candidates for our organization. We’re passionate about delivering an awesome candidate experience, and that starts with the first conversation with a candidate.

The Role:
Your primary responsibility will be to build a robust candidate pipeline of talented applicants throughout the DMV area

  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through research and passive outreach for mission-critical roles within the organization
  • Manage multiple requisitions at once
  • Attract and assess top candidates through sourcing strategies and efforts
  • Create, organize, simplify, and manage pipelines
  • Regularly communicate results, priorities, and challenges with the team
  • Collaborate with teammates to develop and execute strategies that will meet the talent demands
  • Interact with potential candidates personally or online, and schedule interviews with HR staff members
  • Maintain candidate databases and uses ATS to track and manage candidate workflow
  • Utilize internal and external posting and sourcing platforms to create, track, and manage candidate pipelines
  • Communicates with Analysts and Departments for available positions and their requirements
  • Manages candidate interview schedule
  • Maintains social media and professional networks to interact with potential candidates
  • Develops database for current and future hires
  • Crowdsources potential candidates
  • Performs other duties as needed.

Minimum & Additional Requirements

Associates Degree; three years of experience in human resources management; completion of college-level courses in human resources administration public and business administration or a related field and familiarity with large systems processing transactions, records and documents that meet compliance standards and area subject to audits; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Knowledge in MS Office and database systems such as an ATS
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
