This is a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Baltimore, Maryland area.Responsibilities- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers- Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders- Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks- Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, eg skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment- Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization- Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans- Verify codes and documents- Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP Requirements - 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable- Current and relevant ERP system experience- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred- Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular- Expertise in cash applications- Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)- Proficiency in SAP- Great attention to detail- Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
