Aerotek is seeking Skilled Assemblers to work in manufacturing company. These opportunities are long term and paying $20 to $25.00/hour.Holidays paid while on assignment with Aerotek!Clean, Climate Controlled with Air Conditioning!Pay:$20 to $25.00/hour**Available Shifts:** 3rd Shift Sun-Thursday 11pm to 7:10am +OT**Job Description:**The Assembly Technician position is a hands-on position. They are responsible for set up, changeovers, maintenance, and repair of various types of high precision manual, automated, and semi-automated assembly equipment as well as performing visual and dimensional checks of final subassemblies prior to submitting to Quality for 1st piece inspection approval. This includes support of all aspects of the manufacturing transitions, manufacturing tooling, and mid to high volume manufacturing process.Duties and Responsibilities:Plans work assignments by reading work orders, checking bill of materials, product prints, work instructions,Computes dimensions, establish reference points, center lines, and guidelines on tooling and product prints and measures and inspects final assembly critical on FAIR prior to submitting for 1st piece inspection.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical operations and listening for unusual noises during run cycles.Determines necessary machine adjustments, setups, changeovers, and assembly components prior to operating high precision automated and semi-automated assembly machines to ensure production requirements. Some sub-assemblies require electrical continuity, high pot resistance, vacuum, or water leak testing.Fits and assembles replacement tooling into the required unit or mechanism and verifies dimensions, alignment, and clearances. Stones, grinds, laps, polishes, or performs other smoothing or blending techniques to enable parts to fit properly. Occasionally uses shims to correct improper fit and alignment of parts.Responsible for keeping assembly equipment, fixtures, and gages on all production lines in good condition and proper working order and are properly marked, maintained, and stored until the next order.Ability to fabricate, modify, replace, sharpen, or order tooling to replace broken or worn tooling.Ensures operation of mechanical and automated equipment by completing periodic preventative maintenance.Utilizes precision measuring instruments, devices, work holding fixtures, and all related hand tools to assemble and inspect tooling conformance to required product print specifications.**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**Blueprint Reading SkillsStrong Mechanical AptitudeAssembly ExperienceFamiliar with AutomationTroubleshooting capabilityMechatronics or Electrical Schooling a PLUS**About Aerotek:**We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
