Appropriately train and supervise staff team members in those areas as you progressively assume project management responsibilities.Participate in complex research and advisory projects requiring coordination with specialty tax groups including transfer pricing, due diligence and M planning, state and local nexus and taxability, credits/incentives, tax methods, structuring and reorganizations.Progressively develop client relationships on day-to-day tax matters supporting partners and managers with development and execution of extended and complex service plans.Provide recommendations for business innovation and process improvements relative to the client's operations and objectives as well as the internal processes of the firm.Invest in professional development, learn and grow from direct on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programsUtilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and with your clientsSupport the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goalsEnjoy friendships, social activities and team outings that encourage a work-life balance Qualifications: Successful candidates will have:Bachelor's degree in accounting or law, or a related degree in business, and sufficient course work and credits to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state you are being consideredCPA or JD license preferredTwo (2)+ years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firmSolid knowledge of principles of federal taxation (accounting methods, partnership, corporate)Familiarity with tax research tools and structure of tax sources (code, regulations, official guidance, etc.)Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solvingHighly developed software and Microsoft Suite skillsEligibility to work in the US without sponsorship preferred #LI-MB2#LI-hybrid
