Bluestone will deliver an enterprise-level capability consisting of an integrated organization, innovation, business analysis, development, operations, engineering services, solution architecting, software/ hardware release management & maintenance services, new cloud-based solutions, and next generation network options.Duties and Responsibilities Lead team of Database Administrators to deploy and manage relational database management systems (RDBMS) that store, secure, index, and facilitate retrieval of DEA data. Recommend database platforms and configurations to meet DEA needs. Manage database performance, security, and integrity. Manage RDBMS systems including but not limited to Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.Support development teams in data normalization, query tuning, and stored procedure optimization. Develop DDLs to create and update data structures. Develop indexes to speed queries and apply masks to improve data integrity. Implement security features such as data obfuscation and data encryption. Monitor data backups, storage, growth, and usage. Report potential issues and recommend solutions, such as extensions, archival, and compressions. Manage routine maintenance and backups. Monitor performance alerts and restore performance before users are impacted when possible. Respond to trouble tickets. Support application deployments. Manage patches, fixes, and upgrades to maintain currency per DEA standards. Develop jobs to import and export data to interfacing systems, data warehouses, data lakes, and for use by data analytics tools.
