The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is seeking a well-qualified Academic Coordinator, to join the Department of Accounting. One of 13 schools and colleges located on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, the Smith School is a recognized leader in management research and education for the global economy. The Coordinator position will support the Accounting and Information Assurance Department (AIA) as directed by the Department Chair and will focus on overseeing administrative programmatic activities of the department. Reports directly to the Chair of the AIA and serves as the administrative lead to the other professors in the department. The holder of this position will be the sole administrative liaison on AIA activities at the business school, the point of interface with AIA activities elsewhere on campus and in the business community. Serves as an initial contact person for other external parties and will manage all events and logistics for the department.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 3 years related experience. Internet experience; experience with webpage; Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat); Strong interpersonal, communications and analytical skills; Strong ability to work with Faculty, Students, Staff, Campus/Corporate officials.
