Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Junior Recruiter to assist with the sourcing and hiring of candidates for positions in engineering, technical and management consulting fields. In this role, you will source and interact with potential candidates, develop talent pipelines, conduct initial candidate screenings, and facilitate transitioning the candidate to the recruiter.

To ensure success, you should have detailed knowledge of modern sourcing techniques and strong communication skills. The technical sourcer will be sourcing candidates for tough to fill openings across Aptive business lines.

This position can be fully remote, but local to the Washington D.C. Metro region is preferred to support occasional onsite activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with managers and recruiters to determine key skills and responsibilities for positions.
  • Connect and interact with potential candidates on professional networks and social media.
  • Experience using online talent sites to source and identify interested candidates (ex. Indeed, Clearance Jobs, Monster, etc...)
  • Experience creating search strings using Boolean variables
  • Build pipelines of active and passive candidates
  • Identifying and screening potential candidates.
  • Passing screened candidates along to recruiters for consideration and next steps in the recruiting process.
  • Creating talent pipelines for current and future hires.
  • Managing the company's candidate database.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting/sourcing
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or similar field (additional relevant experience may be used in lieu of a degree)
  • Experience identifying qualified candidates for hard to fill positions
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Familiarity with social media marketing and digital networking.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good time management skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience using iCIMS Applicant Tracking System
  • Experience working in the federal consulting space
  • Relevant recruiting and/or sourcing certifications
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with all clients including internal/external recruiters, business partners and candidates.
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with all clients including internal/external recruiters, business partners and candidates.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to communicate across most mediums and settings.
  • Knowledge of military and Veteran populations.
