*Job Description: * As a Technician III, you will serve as a key contributor to the Sterling, VA Configuration Center by performing Imaging Services and Kitting Services for Desktops, Laptops, and Monitors, and support and remediation during normal business hours. You may also provide server and network storage support, as needed. *Job Responsibilities: * * Perform imaging services of desktops and laptops via SCCM and/or Symantec Ghost * Perform kitting services consisting of combining laptops, mice, keyboards, and other peripherals as needed into boxes for shipment * Inspect returned customer IT equipment and determine if it can be repurposed or put in disposal pile for destruction * Work within a ticketing system to perform tasks * Knowledge of SCCM processes and procedures and workflows * Understand the different types of network cables and power cables * Troubleshoot and perform remediation repairs; escalate to Sr. Engineers, as needed * Serve the customer to ePlus' standards * Organized and responsive to both customer facing emails and internally within ePlus * Work towards achieving industry-specific certifications: ie MCP, CCNA *Your Corporate Responsibilities: * Internal Control responsibilities vary by role and are subject to change. Please discuss your individual internal control responsibilities with your immediate supervisor on a regular basis. * Handle confidential matters and information professionally * Conduct business in a professional, competent and ethical manner * Adhere to corporate policies and procedures * Willing to grow and continue to develop technical skillsets and certifications *Job Knowledge/Skills: * * Excellent customer service skills both on phone and in-person * Professional demeanor and good communication skills * Ability to think and come up with solutions quickly * Must be fully knowledgeable and able to diagnose, install and repair two or more of the following technologies: * PC Imaging solutions * Networking * Security * Blade server technology * Virtualization *Education and Experience: * * High School Diploma required, technical or college degree preferred * 5-7 years of imaging experience, supporting customers * Familiar with using ticketing systems * A+ Certification * MCP certification preferred Physical Demands of Job: * Physically move or relocate Desktops, Monitors, Laptops, Printers, and Servers as needed. *Physical Requirements of Position: * Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time.
