Our team works together in preparing home-style recipes from around the world and serve the meals through home dinner delivery, catering, and grocery grab and go retail. Responsibilities & DutiesOversee all aspects of retail food production, including prep, cooking, and plating items in retail packaging Mondays-Fridays at our satellite location at the Whole Foods Foggy Bottom location.Manage merchandising of food products, specifically display and presentation of packaged food items on store shelves at the Foggy Bottom LocationProvide accurate inventory of production and product loss for the Foggy Bottom locationLearn recipes of our talented chefs to provide delicious meals to retail customersManage ingredient and packaging procurementPositive and customer friendly attitudeClean and maintain work spaceAfter sufficient training and supervision, work independently in the retail store, preparing and merchandising food itemsArrive on time and ready to workReport directly to Foodhini s Director of Operations, as well as maintain Whole Foods store management expectationsFollow the rules and regulations of Whole Foods kitchen policyThis is a 3 month position with the expectation to transition to a full time role in the retail location, or the main Foodhini kitchenCore ValuesBelieve and lives the mission of FoodhiniYou are a team player and have a core willingness to learn from others, and also support othersThrives working independently and solving problems on the goComfortable taking direction from othersPositive attitudeProfessional at all timesYou excel working in a fast paced and evolving workplace environmentProfessional in communicating your needs in the workplaceComfortable receiving feedback from all team membersComfortable providing feedback to all team membersPatience in communicating across different cultures and languagesWilling to work through tough problems and make difficult decisionsJob Details:Pay: $18.50 - $20.50 /hour based on experience30-40 hours / week, Monday - FridayShift Time - Daily shift start time is flexible and can accommodate your own scheduleLocation: Foggy Bottom Whole Foods (2201 I St NW) Washington DC Completion of a Food Safety Manager s Certificate will be requiredApplicant must be comfortable with 75% of time spent standing, and lifting up to 50 lbsPosition hours and location may fluctuate during slow seasonsEmployee will be required to sign a Non Disclosure AgreementYour employment will be under 1099 contractor statusCOVID-19 VaccinationsFoodhini strongly encourages all new team members to obtain a COVID-19 vaccinationNext StepsInterested in applying for this position?
