Project Specialist for AEGIS New Construction projects on Lockheed Martin Ship Integration and Test contracts.Selected candidate will be part of the Ship Integration and Test (SI) team supporting Camden, NJ AEGIS operations but will be located in Washington, DC. The Project Engineer will lead technical and programmatic tasking from NAVSEA, PEO IWS, and MDA representatives. Coordinate customer interactions at program and technical and reviews.Participate in the Technical Data Package (TDP) process for DDG 51 AEGIS Modernization and Backfit programs. Coordinate and resolve technical and programmatic issues with PEO IWS 1, PMS 407. Work with AEGIS PARMS to resolve ship integration issues to ensure successful integration on the ship. Position will involve weekly interface with PEO IWS, NSWC-DD, NSWC-PHD, AEGIS Planning Yards, and the Missile Defense Agency.Position will also involve close interaction with Designengineering, Production programs, Program Management, and LM Finance. This position may entail occasional travel to SI locations in Camden, NJ, Norfolk, VA, and San Diego, CA.Basic QualificationsAbility to lead technical and programmatic tasking fromNaval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Program executive office (PEO), Integrated Warfare systems (IWS), and Missal defense agency (MDA)representatives.Position requires strong initiative characteristics and exceptional teaming skills. Minimum 7-10 years experience in design, integration, and/or installation engineering with knowledge of CG 47, DDG 51,and/or FMS Aegis or other USN surface ship combat system equipment. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
