Title: Assistant Project Manager - NASA RomeLocation: Greenbelt, MDStatus: Full TimePosition Summary:Midnight Sun Technology is looking to hire a Assistant Project Manager to support the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center's Repairs, Operations, Maintenance and Engineering (ROME). The Assistant Project Manager will provide day-to-day management for operational support services.Duties/Responsibilities:Ensure the execution of all contract deliverables to include partnering with the government customer to meet their mission.Serve as a backup to the Project Manager. Direct large workforce of skilled trades (through subordinate managers and supervisors), administrative employees, and subcontractors. Hire, grow/mentor, and counsel team as appropriate.Responsible for the Delegate responsibilities and authority to subordinate managers and supervisors to ensure services are accomplished as directed and on time.Serve as backup to the project manager as senior management representative on site of the majority Joint Venture (JV) partner. Routine communications (written correspondence, presentations/briefings, meetings) with the joint venture corporate partners are essential.Perform and present operations reports and analyses to JV company leadership and Government representatives, as required.Responsible for establishing and operating within overall budget including payroll, materials, schedule, equipment, subcontract management, and minor construction services.As needed, coordinate with Government representatives and other contractors to ensure all operations fully support Government activities and short/long range objectives.Oversee capital improvement/asset preservation programs with design and construction processes at multiple sites through local resources, with minimal oversight.Responsible for business development within current customer base and/or with new customersMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the practice of engineering, construction management, business administration, logistics, or field associated with facility/utility management operations preferred. Experience may be substituted for a degree. Minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities maintenance management, preferably on a US Government military installation or large civilian agency industrial complex (eg, NASA).Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.Strong communication (verbal and written) skills at high level.Current state issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Firm knowledge of facility operations, construction and utilities management.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with executive level internal & external clients.Organizational & detailed -oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business.Preferred Experience:Master's degree from an accredited institution in the practice of engineering, construction management, business administration, logistics, or field associated with facility/utility management operations.Prior experience with NASA and/or avionics.Knowledge of FAR, DFARS and federal Government contract administration procedures, policies, and practices.Experience with A & E construction.Experience with reliability center maintenance.Experience with Maximo.Apply online at our website: https://kikiktagruk.applicantpool.com/jobs/Disclaimer: This is not to be an exclusive list of all responsibilities', duties, and skills required of the person in this job.
