Job DescriptionIT System AdministratorIntertek is searching for an IT System Administrator to join our Connected Worldteam in our Rockville, Maryland office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in IT and Cyber Security!Summary: Acumen Security is looking for a motivated problem-solving Network Systems Administrator. This person will be responsible for all aspects of the corporate network infrastructure as well as the product testing network infrastructure. This includes guiding a small IT team, improving network functionality, increasing security, and enabling/supporting Acumen's mission of testing and certifying our clients' products. This position will also work with our team in India, the work schedule will be from 11 AM EST to 8 PM EST. Skills: Command-line experience - the ability to adapt to multiple different command-line environments (eg BASH, IOS, JUNOS). Scripting - Python or BASH scripting to automate repetitive workflows. Server room management - cabling, power, etc. ESXi - Deploy VMs, manage storage, manage backups Active Directory. Networking Routing/Firewall - Understanding of TCP/IP (and UDP) to create network segmentation, routing rules, and firewall rules. VLAN - Configuration and use of VLANs to separate traffic. IPv6 - familiarity with the basics of IPv6. WLAN - basic WiFi network configuration, troubleshooting, and understanding. Responsibilities: Oversee the technical work of the IT team. Ownership of Company-wide Information Security Policy, BCP, and DRP plans. Maintain, upgrade, and secure the corporate network infrastructure (eg Active Directory, DNS, ESXi, SFTP, Ubuntu servers). Work with management to proactively address issues (eg capacity, security). Work collaboratively with test engineers to set up devices for testing, test infrastructure (primary Linux VMs), and troubleshoot connectivity problems. Provide end-user support for corporate systems (primarily Windows 10). Provision of new accounts (on various systems) to support the functions listed above. Monitor security of the network and systems. Maintain a complete network map and network inventory. Qualifications - ExternalEducation: Associates and or bachelor, other related fields, or equivalent experience. Preferred: Industry certifications such as Security+, MCSE, Scripting, CCNA, and Network+. Why work at Intertek?
