A customer in the Reston, VA area is looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join their team. The candidate will be supporting a 24x7 Network Operations Center. Tasks involve working with and supporting the team, supporting the client's production, QA and Development environments and insuring companies critical infrastructure adheres to its stringent SLA requirements. Primary responsibilities will be to monitor and resolve alarms, open corresponding tickets, diagnose and documents issued, take escalations from junior engineers, follow SOPs and escalate as needed. Must have credit in good standing. Minimum Requirements3-5 years of systems administration experience (preferably tier II work) 3+ years of experience using Linux - RHEL and CentOS v. 7.0Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, NetFlow, SNMP and internet protocols Experience with IP addressing and TCP/UDP ports. Experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols. Good work ethic, ability to take initiative, and good communication skills Desired SkillsRHCSA certification CCNA or CCNP Previous experience in a Network Operations Center
