The Washington Hilton is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join their team!This historic hotel features over 1000 rooms and is located within blocks of Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan. The White House and National Mall are less than two miles away. The Human Resources team consist of 4 people and supports and develops a total of 700 team members. The ideal candidate will hold a formal Human Resources related Bachelors Degree, 2 -3 years previous experience in a Human Resources Coordinator position in a high-volume environment, proven ability to partner and guide internal stakeholders, combined with strong administration and IT skills.This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Director in the overall management of the administration of the Human Resources function in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and to maximize profitability. This position would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who is currently in a HR Coordinator position and looking to take the next step in their career! Previous hospitality and experience in a unionized environment is preferred. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Manages daily Human Resources operation to include, but not limited to, interviewing and hiring, employment and recruiting, training and development, wage/benefit compensation, team member and labor relations, contract compliance, disciplinary procedures, workers compensation, safety, statutory compliance, recognition and reward and performance evaluations Manage team member relations programs, activities and initiatives to include, but not limited to, picnics, holiday functions, health fairs, award banquets and special events Oversee function of the data management system to include, but not limited to, entry of team member data, recording employment transitions (ie hire, separation, leaves of absence, etc.), generating reports (ie payroll analysis, labor turnover, etc.) and processing unemployment claims Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action Plan and Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines and regulations What are we looking for?Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
