Adventist HealthCare is hiring a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at The Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, Maryland who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

In this role, the CMO will be a key leader in moving the organization forward relative to both quality and safety of care with an emphasis on physician engagement with evidence-based clinical practice.

As the VP/CMO of Shady Grove Medical Center, you will:
•Coordinate and implement quality and patient safety initiatives along with
process improvement
•Provide leadership and direction for coordination of the Medical Staff Office
and related services
•Provide leadership and support for clinical research and clinical technology
evolution and growth
•Provide response and coordination for yearly physician engagement survey
and resulting strategy to improve
•Support and grow strategy for physician leadership
•Provide leadership and support for the triennial Joint Commission survey
•Provide support for growth of physician residency candidate integration on
inpatient units or perioperative services
•Chair or Co-chair appropriate medical staff and hospital committees
•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Include:
•Board certified MD or DO required
•Board Certification in American Board of Medical Specialties
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in active clinical practice
•Minimum 5 years' experience in hospital leadership; senior executive
leadership preferred
•Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience
•Experience in quality management/performance improvement
•Diplomatic approach with politically astute mindset
•Discipline in goal setting, prospecting, networking and time management
