Provides quality social emotional expertise while under the guidance of site coordinator to families and their young children that are participating in the Montgomery County Infant and Toddler Program. Intern works with Sr. Child Development Specialist to learn and assist with the following skills: conducting developmental assessments, providing parent coaching as part of an interdisciplinary early intervention team, participating in referral, intake, service provision IFSP process. Intern does not work independently, however observes and closely monitors the work of the licensed provider. As the internship progresses, more work is done with the close supervision/monitoring by the licensed provider.
Work Schedule:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 am -5 pm
