As a CNA student, you will:
• Desire certification as a nursing assistant and engages in professional development through participation in the Adventist HealthCare Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program.
• Develop the clinical competence required of the certified nursing assistant (CNA) role, leading to successful performance in the CNA role at Adventist HealthCare.
• Develop clinical competence through a variety of modalities, including classroom, simulation and clinical application of learning on patient care units (clinical hours overseen by educator). Clinical competence includes technical skills (example: VS, Accu-check, mobility devices, activities of daily living, feeding) and interpersonal skills (example: building relationships with patients and team members).
• Demonstrate a positive outlook on safety, lifelong learning, professionalism and patient experience throughout the program

Qualifications include:

• High School diploma
• English proficiency: reading, writing and spoken
• Background check required for healthcare employees
• Basic computer skills

Work Schedule:

Six week training program, (8a-4p, M-F) concluding with certification once student completes all training program requirements. There will be orientation to the hiring unit following the training. The training program is day shift. Employment may be day shift or night shift, depending on open positions.

This is for the cohort IV, starting on October 10, 2022.

COVID-19 Vaccination
