Funding comes from a variety of sources, including state-appropriated funds, taxable and tax-exempt revenue bonds, federal low income housing tax credits, federal HOME funds and other federal funds. Additionally, DHCD administers rental assistance programs and innovative initiatives designed to expand affordable housing opportunities for persons with disabilities, increase the energy efficiency and sustainability of affordable multifamily developments, and preserve rental housing.

The main purpose of this position is:  As part of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (“LIHTC”) compliance team for DHCD to meet all of the LIHTC compliance responsibilities derived from Section 42, to include the execution of Site Visits (as defined in Section 42).

This position provides:  The employee will perform all Site Visit functions (i.e. both file reviews and UPCS physical inspections) for the Western Region of the State independently, and lead a team in Site Visits in other areas of the State. The employee will also navigate responses from property management to Site Visit reports to determine whether “substantial non-compliance” will result in 8823’s and prepare 8823's where indicated.
