Duties

  • Perform heavy physical labor requiring the frequent lifting and carrying of items and furniture weighing 80 to 100 pounds or more.
  • Primary functions of job include raking bunkers, string trimming, push mowing, hole relocation on putting greens, and general maintenance and operation for turf and golf course grounds.
  • Operate heavy powered equipment performing tasks that require prior work experience and training.
  • Performs general maintenance of NAF facilities requiring use of heavy powered equipment and heavy tools.
  • Works primarily outdoors.

Conditions of Employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
  • A one year probationary period may be required
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Applicant must be able to frequently lift and carry very heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.


Qualifications

Six (6) month of laboring experience required. Must be able to work under general supervision, responding to initial oral or written instructions and completing assigned tasks.

No golf or landscaping experience necessary. Training will be conducted on site.
