Description Robert Half is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join a growing manufacturing company offering a hybrid work schedule!Summary:Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day payroll operations including processing, reporting, compliance, and partnering with accounting and HR as well as IT on change management related activities.Overview of Responsibilities:+ Process high-volume, multi-state payroll of up to 1000+ employees, including garnishments, benefit deductions, and payroll taxes.+ Handle multiple bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles ensuring that payroll deadlines are met, data integrity is maintained, and that the system accurately reflects employee salaries, benefits, and sick/vacation time etc.+ Process W-2's, claims reimbursements, and various payroll deductions (401k, deferral rates, loans etc.).+ Research and resolve timesheet or paycheck discrepancies and any payroll related issues in a timely manner.+ Assist with preparing and reviewing payroll reports in order to identify missing information or errors.+ Assist the Payroll Manager, IT, and HR with working to continuously automate the payroll process by developing and executing more efficient and streamlined payroll strategies as well as providing partnership on system implementations, enhancements, and change management activities.+ Assist the Payroll Manager with the timely delivery of payroll related information and work cross functionally with internal departments and leadership in supporting accounting and HR functions as it pertains to payroll related matters.+ Ensure payroll processes are administered with SOX requirements and follow internal policies as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.+ Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned. Requirements + 5+ years of high-volume (800-1000+), multi-state payroll processing experience is required. + Experiencing processing multiple payroll cycles is highly desired. + Manufacturing industry experience is a plus, but not a requirement. + Strong technical skills and payroll software experience; Knowledge in ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, or Paycom software experience is a plus. + Possessing a degree and a Certified Payroll Professional Certificate (CPP) is a plus. + Strong attention to detail, level of accuracy, and organizational skills. + Positive attitude, approachable, personable, and easily builds rapport. + Strong business acumen and sense of professionalism with confidence interacting with individuals at all levels of an organization.+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, follow up, researching experience, and ability to handle confidential information. + Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment. + Not easily overwhelmed with the ability to operate with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines. + Strategic and forward thinking with the ability to bring new ideas to the table to create efficiencies and drive results.+ Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, drive solutions, and effectively problem-solve. + Resourceful, proactive, and self-motivated with a team player mentality.Company offers competitive compensation/benefits package and a collaborative working environment.
