Overview: Axient is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) weapons program in developing Systems Security Engineering (SSE) solutions to protect the US war fighter's technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates interdisciplinary security solutions leveraging Anti-Tamper (AT), Cyber Security, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support the Program Protection Plan on embedded weapons systems. Description: The Senior Systems Engineer for Systems Security Engineering provides technical leadership for the design, development, qualification, integration and fielding of Program Protection and security solutions used in Naval Weapons applications. The position requires a highly motivated and innovative individual with a proven track record in developing SSE (Anti-Tamper (AT), Cyber, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management) solutions to meet US DoD customer requirements. Customer stakeholders include Navy, Missile Defense Agency, and other US Government acquisition agencies. The Senior SSE must be successful at working closely and collaboratively with Prime Contractor and Government stakeholders external to the Program Office.The senior systems security engineer will assess candidate security solutions for "best fit" with program requirements, establish detailed systems requirements and allocation of those requirements to sub-systems and collaborate with all engineering disciplines and DoD/Navy technical oversight groups to determine compliance to the requirements during system development and qualification. Essential Functions: Lead the SSE Integrated Product Team implementation of SSE into Naval Sea Systems Command weapons programs. Interact with Government customers/stakeholders to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness.Provide leadership for developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans. Keep senior Government leadership informed on major accomplishments, issues and concerns. Educate Government Program Office leadership on the DoD/Navy requirements established for Program Protection and SSE.Establish planning processes for SSE implementations in future growth and International variants of the weapons systems.Draft and coordinate submission and approval of required SSE documentation. Minimum Requirements: US Citizenship and active DoD Top Secret clearance with current SSBI within last 5 years are required.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Physics, Mathematics. Ten (10) years of relevant experience in the fields of Systems Security Engineering, Program Protection, Anti-Tamper, Cyber Security, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management.Experience in development and fielding of robust Systems Security Engineering (SSE) systems within the framework of overall US Government technical management processes throughout the entire weapons system life cycle. Knowledge of DoD 5000 series program milestone documentation, as well as Navy/NAVSEA implementation of statutory and regulatory documentation.Applicant must be willing to travel approximately one week per month.Knowledge of Navy weapon systems is desired.Must meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols
