We conduct studies supporting product, marketing, and sales. We live-and-breathe a customer-centric philosophy to help Upside reach its business goals.About The JobAs a Senior Marketing Researcher, you will lead the research to drive signups and conversions, and be a strategic partner for our Experience, Growth, and Brand teams. You will play a key role in shaping how we build research as a core proficiency at Upside, enable others to learn and apply research findings, and help build an outstanding brand.What You'll DoBuild a strategic research agenda to include the development of brand and marketing testing across the entire customer lifecycle (consumer and merchant) Develop a deep understanding of our customers, their decision-making and mental models, and advise our stakeholders with recommended campaigns and initiativesExplore value propositions and tactics to accelerate our growth and brand preferenceStay abreast of competitor apps, digital tools, and consumer trends (including industry marketing messages, and product feature sets) Serve as key point of contact for feedback coming into the business (leveraging content from across customer support tickets, app reviews, social media posts, etc. to proactively advocate for user needs)What You NeedHands-on marketing researcher with at least 6-10 years of relevant research experience (market research, business analytics, strategic planning, new product development)Demonstrated experience with complex product-centric and unique, "emotional" brandsUnderstanding of when to use different research approaches (qualitative facilitation, and quantitative surveys, question types, and choice-based exercises)Skilled in the vital analytics tools (SPSS, R, Python) and aware of statistics (t-tests, ANOVAs)Knowledge of marketing channels and experience working on marketing/brand campaignsStrong empathyThe Fine PrintNotice to recruiters and placement agencies: This is an in-house search with a dedicated resource.
