Employee Type: Full time Location: PA Hanover Job Type: Production Operations Job Posting Title: Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift: 3p-11p Job Description: Monday through Friday 3pm to 11pm and Saturdays when required. Position Overview: Responsible for successful execution of Operations team goals resulting in delivery of key performance indicators. Serve directly as Coach, Mentor, and Manager of hourly associates in the Hanover Plant. As a leader, exemplify Treehouse Values and coach associates to do the same. As a member of the Plant Leadership Team, contribute to the growth of a culture of inclusion and engagement. Responsibilities: Plan and manage the day to day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials and systems) in order to efficiently, safely and cost effectively achieve performance targets. Execute the daily work schedule. Champion and lead change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Review overall line effectiveness and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Understand and adhere to internal and external regulations, procedures & policies. Ensure that a high quality of products, housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained. Maintain and enforce GMP standards. Operate within effective standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support employee and food safety, product quality, asset effectiveness, and workplace organization. Oversee department specific sanitation operations as necessary to promote and maintain a clean and food-safe environment. Provide employee coaching, mentoring and training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities effectively. Provide leadership for assigned production personnel to achieve their specific goals and objectives via continuous process improvement. Ensure employee engagement, training, and development to maximize safety, quality, and productivity and ensure all quality standards, specifications and policies are met or exceeded. Assess performance of direct reports on a regular frequency and review this with each associate, providing coaching for work performance improvement and associate development. Create and maintain a safe and positive work environment for all line personnel. Maintain safe environment and safety practices in all business initiatives. Proactively participate in and promote safety initiatives in the plant. Respond to employee concerns and / or issues. Attend production and shift review meetings and complete daily paperwork Ensure all daily manufacturing documents are completed and accurate. Follows and enforces standards for food safety and food quality production reflected in SQF. Ensure all manufacturing areas comply with BRC and SQF requirements. Complete monthly training and Safety Activities. Engagement in plant Continuous Improvement efforts. Contributes to team effort by performing other assigned duties as needed. Maintains cooperative relationship with coworkers and management by communicating necessary information, responding to requests, building report; and participating in problem solving methods. Enforce all TPB policies and procedures. Establishes standards with the assistance of the Team Lead and Plant Manager and other department heads to uphold customer, regulatory and company guidelines: * Safety (OSHA) * GMP (AIB/SQF) * Quality (Specifications) * Sanitation Ensure safety and security of plant personnel by developing a clear understanding of all emergency procedures: * Ensure timely follow through and documentation in response to all Safety Incidents. * Investigate and enforce compliance of TPB and OSHA regulations * Lead a "Safety First" culture in packing room operations Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Manufacturing Supervisory role Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is preferred Experience with food manufacturing is desired. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills. Proficiency in SAP is highly desired. High energy level; comfortable performing multiple job tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a consistently changing environment Ability to work independently with little on site supervision Excellent interpersonal abilities. Ability to positively interact in a multicultural atmosphere. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to be flexible and lead change with team members Understand and apply problem solving methodologies to improve upon operating performance issues Attention to detail; ability to document issues accurately and completely Participative management style-advocate of team concept.
