The purpose of your role as a Network Engineer and Systems EngineerThe Network and Systems Engineer will install, configure, support, and maintain infrastructure systems and multiple complex network service devices, telecommunications, and LAN/WAN/WLAN/SDWAN hardware and software across multiple Harris locations and remote jobsites. This will include management of the current system and facilitating transition strategies and implementation plans for the deployment of new network architecture designs. Will be expected to have a detailed understanding of large-scale WAN design concepts and associated technologies (monitoring, security, network automation). Must have excellent verbal communication skills and superb written communication.Will be responsible for developing formal documentation on configuration standards, maintenance, troubleshooting procedures, and network design/ architecture. Due to the nature of the work, this position will require occasional maintenance activities performed over weekends or at night. Up to 25% travel may be required.What we're looking for in you3+ years of network administration and support, knowledge of network services availability, performance, and security with remote enterprise support to multiple locations required. This includes ensuring appropriate network performance, capacity, resiliency and redundancy.3+ years of strong proficiency in configuring, deploying and troubleshooting all the following: DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, SDWAN, Routing and Switching in a multilayered environment.3+ years of Active Directory experience including DHCP, DNS, Group Policy and PowerShell.Server configuration builds for Microsoft 2016 & 2019 OS familiarity required.3+ years of VMware development/configuration/support including storage configuration3+ years of M365 administration and troubleshooting experience including AzureApplying network system updates, patches, configuration changes to network equipment as well as Windows patching via SCCM.Ability to lead and manage projects ensuring network technology standards and baselines are in place and security practices are followed.Ability to work with ISP vendors to manage tickets, make configuration changes while ensuring optimal uptime.Your life at HarrisAs one of the country's leading mechanical contractors, Harris offers you the best of both worlds: the stability, resources and opportunities of a national company, and the team culture, creative spirit and customer loyalty of a local business.
