Sparks Group and a renowned company in Bethesda, MD have partnered together to find a Senior Manager, Story Producer. The Sr Manager, Story Producer will develop, lead, and manage video and film projects that deeply engage and inspire an audience, including creative concept development, identifying production and distribution partners and providing creative oversight of production and post-production. The role will perform a critical role in leading and supporting the development of forward-thinking and innovative content marketing video content across owned and paid channels, including digital, social, streaming, in-room tv network and editorial. This role can be fully remote!

The Sr Manager, Story Producer will support goals by developing compelling and unique travel stories and helping to establish the studio as a center of excellence for storytelling, film, and video within the company. You will deliver projects that meet marketing and distribution objectives, through premium quality content with the potential to garner entertainment industry recognition and accolades. The role requires a creative-minded problem solver, eager to support the Studio, Content Marketing team and broader enterprise in adoption and implementation content-centric creative video ideas.

Senior Manager, Story Producer Responsibilities:
• Translate marketing strategy into video briefs and concepts.
• Support and manage all phases of production, ensuring programming is produced on strategy, within budget, while maintaining highest levels of creative excellence and production quality across platforms and channels.
• Manage the creation of SOWs and negotiations and with vendors, production and post process workflow, scheduling and managing reviews and status reports with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage production of individual, one-off segments or interstitials, attend and coordinate domestic-based shoots.
• Work alongside Executive Producer to build relationships and identify opportunities to support the strategic vision and production goals of the Content Studio across owned and paid channels.
• Demonstrate mastery of project management principles and best practices in relation to integrated marketing communications projects and strategy.
• Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with internal collaborators and external vendors.
• Establish and manage project workflows to execute content marketing initiatives.
• Leverage operational understanding of graphic design, creative, writing, proofreading, production and development to facilitate effective communication between departmental teams.
• Work with internal teams, e.g., content strategists, editors, designers, and other internal stakeholders and external vendors, e.g., publisher content partners and content agencies, to scope and shape concepts and executions positively influencing project outcomes, across channels.
• Ensure all regulatory, legal and compliance and branding guidelines are followed to the letter.
• Demonstrates and communicates key drivers of customer satisfaction for the brand's target customer.
• Delivers customer service throughout the customer experience and encourages the same from other employees.
• Reviews customer feedback with leadership team and ensures corrective action is taken.
• Creates an atmosphere in all operations areas that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Responds to and handles customer problems and complaints.
• Stays available to solve operations problems and/or suggest alternatives to previous arrangements.
• Interacts with customer to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
• Stays visible and interfaces with customers on a regular basis to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction.
• Works to continually improve customer service by integrating obtained feedback and personal judgment into action plans.
• Emphasizes customer satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement.
• Ensures that employees understand expectations and parameters for operations duties.
• Facilitates the development of creative solutions to overcome obstacles and ensures implementation to continually improve customer satisfaction results.

Sr Manager, Story Producer Qualifications:
• 4-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Journalism, Digital Communications, Marketing, or related communications major.
• An outstanding, award-winning portfolio/reel of projects reflecting 6+ years of relevant professional experience at an agency, network or in-house production or branded entertainment environment.
• Eight or more years' experience managing external production vendors, producers, writers, editors.
• Strong project management track record in video production workflows of consumer engaging assets and or campaigns.
• Field Producing experience preferred.
• Proven track record of establishing relationships and track record with the production community and an in-depth knowledge of resources, crew, and production vendors.
• Strong storytelling skills, creative judgement, a passion for travel, entertainment, and culinary experiences
• Experience leading communications within a corporate environment external production vendor management preferred
• Experience leading large-scale projects for global brands preferred
• Demonstrated success with attention to detail, organizational and presentation skills preferred
• Experience working as part of a multi-functional project team preferred
• A proven understanding of creative development and production workflow processes, including briefings, concepting, content development, execution, delivery and distribution preferred
