Marketing Manager, Capital One Shopping Cardholder Offers

Capital One, one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," is looking for a strategic, proactive and data-driven digital marketer to join our Capital One Shopping team focusing on its Cardholder Offers experience. Cardholder Offers is Capital One Shopping's customer-facing product designed to deliver savings to cardholders shopping online. In this role, the Marketing Manager will own execution of our marketing campaign while driving expansion and optimization, including management of the creative agenda and launching new types of marketing. The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing and executing strategic marketing with wide groups of stakeholders. To be successful, the Manager will need to thrive working in white space, building powerful cross-functional relationships, and turning analytics into actionable marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute marketing campaigns in our existing channels
  • Serve as key liaison for and collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, product, operations, tech and sales
  • Execute robust email marketing program including multiple types of monthly campaigns in partnership with MD3 and data analysts
  • Expand to additional customer segments by executing APEX marketing campaigns in EASE


Grow and optimize our existing channels
  • Manage team creative testing agenda to identify new winning templates and boost conversion
  • Collaborate with product and business teams to understand marketing performance and identify new opportunities to optimize marketing strategy


Expand to new channels
  • Synthesize competitive insights, testing results, marketing trends, to identify marketing opportunities
  • Drive product growth by launching new emails campaigns, APEX placements and other emerging channels, including in-app messaging and non-Shopping email placements


The ideal candidate:
  • Thrives on the opportunity to lead and build in white space, collaboration and the drive for results
  • Is comfortable working across wide groups of stakeholders across job families (product, sales, data analyst, tech, legal, etc) to grow and optimize Offers marketing
  • Is able to create and operate in a systems level view of marketing
  • Understands current martech capabilities in the marketplace and is able to connect our martech capabilities to marketing possibilities across targeting, creative, and experience
  • Is confident with interpreting analysis
  • Is able to combine analytics and qualitative data to form a marketing strategy and approach
  • Is able to break a strategy down into a testing plan that accelerates momentum and speed to market
  • Is able to own and drive a marketing roadmap and agenda
  • Is well-organized and has strong time management
  • Can manage the details of their own and a small team's multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work
  • Has a passion for understand consumer problems and creating tech-forward marketing solutions to solve them


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 5 years of multi-channel digital marketing experience on client-side or agency
  • At least 5 years leading digital marketing strategy and programs
  • At least 5 years of experience driving optimization plans


Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Marketing, Business or Communications
  • At least 5 years of marketing experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry
  • At least 5 years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
  • At least 3 years of experience working with marketing tech platforms, including data management platforms
  • At least 3 years of management experience
