Overview: Come work with a great team! Signet Health manages the behavioral health services for Medstar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC) and has a full-time opening for a Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources provides on-site comprehensive generalist duties for the behavioral health department at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. This person assists and supports program leadership in recruitment, employee relations/conflict resolution and compensation and benefits for Signet Health employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Oversees human resources programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; occupational health and safety, etc.Adheres and enforces Signet Health's Human Resources policies and procedures.Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.Provides instructions to managers on how to issue corrective actions, including maintaining equitable and systematic adherence throughout the process. Completes on-boarding of new employees.Represents Signet Health, as needed, in unemployment hearings and other regulatory agencies, when it involves employee issues.Maintains and tracks employee training requirements. Promotes a confidential, safe and secure environment for all employees to report grievances and complaints.Updates Chief HR Officer regularly via telephone calls, e-mails and/or bi-weekly meetings regarding HR issues.Other duties as assigned, consistent with HR management. COMPETENCIES:Advises, consults or counsels others to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas or actions. Requires attention to detail and assignments are expected to be completed by deadlines given.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Requirements/Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in human resources or another related field. Minimum of eight (8) years direct human resources generalist experience. Experience working in healthcare or a healthcare related field, is strongly preferred. Ability to work cooperatively with employees, program administrators and corporate HR team. EOE
