Cecil offers a variety of associate degree and certificate programs.Through its open admissions policy, Cecil College provides learning opportunities for all who have the desire and ability to benefit from its courses and programs, regardless of age, gender, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability, or socioeconomic status.Employees of Cecil College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorships.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting the Human Resources team on data entry, filing employees records, processing invoices and general office assistance.Duties:* Assists the Human Resources office in general administrative support.* Assists Human Resources Administrative Assistant on payroll processing, including data entry and keying of information into the payroll/HRIS platform.* Processes invoices for review by the HR Generalist.* Creates and maintain employee files.* Pulls fingerprinting results from designated website; files all fingerprint results.* Assistants HR Administrative Assistant with activating login/email accounts for new hires* Assists HR Administrative Assistant with completion of the monthly US Department of Labor report* Provides and gathers data for new hire reporting for the Maryland New Hire Registry, and the Department of Labor as required* Assists in the preparation of personnel action items for the monthly Board Report* Assists with maintaining the human resource records retention schedule* Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:* Education: Associates degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.* Experience: Two years' experience in office setting required. Two - four years of experience in human resources preferred.* Proficiencies: Excellent Microsoft Office Software skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to generate reports from a human resource information system and other spreadsheets as required* Skills/Training: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
