Description Senior Manager, Technical Accounting ($20+ bn global company)$220,000 plus bonus, 401k, pension, healthcareMy client is a multi $billion manufacturing group with more than 30,000 employees, 150 business units and operating in over 80 countries globally. They have created a new Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to support the Senior Director (big 4) covering the following main duties --Track / evaluate all changes to accounting pronouncements, determine the global applicability to the organization to appropriately management accounting and the US GAAP financial statements. -Evaluating US GAAP accounting implications to the business for both external reporting and management accounting. -Evaluate new accounting standards and implement those standards into the business. -Draft detailed updates of internal accounting policies to meet external and internal requirements -Improve and expand the Accounting Procedures published in the Finance Manual. -Collaborate with and influencing Business Unit CFOs, finance teams, auditors, and consultants. -Present accounting changes to senior management, draft detailed updates to accounting policies for the Finance Manual. -Participate in the technical accounting evaluation of Corporate initiated non-routine transactions (eg, financing transactions, acquisitions, dispositions). -Provide a supportive role during the year-end close to the External Reporting team -Establish training on accounting policies and procedures to build Business Unit knowledgeFor more information on this and other fulltime accounting and finance opportunities across the DC metro area, please contact Richard Milne - Vice President (Finance & Accounting) at Robert Half on 301-263-3425 Requirements To be considered for this high-profile opportunity you should ideally possess a BS degree in Accounting or Finance, Big 4 CPA (Active) minimum ten (10) years technical accounting experience gained in either Big 4 or an international company larger than $Bn in revenue.
