This role involves various HR duties, including recruiting, owning new hire orientation, managing the employee handbook, and handling employee relations.Key responsibilities- Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations- Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections- Draft templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook- Assess employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)- Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees- Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite- Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors- Differentiate local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures- Employee relations, including engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations- Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters- Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews- Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department Requirements - Prior full cycle recruiting experience- Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity- Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects - This role needs to be highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity- BA or BS degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis- Excellent written and verbal business skills- Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms- Prior experience or knowledge managing Open Enrollment is a plus- Proven understanding local, state and federal laws- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)Qualified candidates in urgent need of employment, may want to consider this role and contact us today!. -Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
