We are looking for innovative and dynamic professionals with a passion for exceptional service to join our Lending team as a Sr. Credit Manager, Mortgage/Consumer Lending What you will do The Sr. Credit Manager, Mortgage/Consumer Lending will utilize underwriting and credit risk experience to review, approve and edit loan decisions. This position will lead a team of lending division underwriters and credit analysts to the successful achievement of established quality, compliance and SLA expectations and goals, while providing motivation to inspire continuous improvement of individual and team performance. This position will also act as liaison between CUSO and SECU on all credit and underwriting issues involving non-business lending. The Sr. Credit Manager, Mortgage/Consumer Lending will partner with other lending division managers and will report directly to the Vice President of Lending. Responsibilities: Main Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for direct leadership, oversight and management of underwriting and credit analyst teams with regard to SLA management, reporting, compliance, procedures, and forms for all non-commercial lending business. Serve as lending management liaison for SECU-partner relations. Lead liaison for mortgage and equity lending, back up for mortgage wholesale and working with consumer liaison to lend support for business decisions. Responsible for ensuring program and/or product changes are communicated, and procedures/SOPs are updated accordingly. Work with the CUSO and/or Partner Credit Unions to ensure continued alignment on software changes and form creation. Actively participate in the development and refinement of lending initiatives and projects.Keep abreast and advise of new lending compliance changes and recommend required adjustments to lending business processes. Qualifications: Education and Experience:4-year college degree or comparable experience10+ years' experience in mortgage underwriting and credit decisioning management functionsFHA DE and VA SAR credentials Working knowledge of Investor Underwriting guidelines: FNMA, FHLMC, VA, FHA and USDA and Federal Compliance RegulationsWorking knowledge of origination systems and investor systems: FNMU DU, FHLMC LPA, USDA GUS Prior experience in consumer lending including origination underwriting to credit risk managementExperience managing a team and ability to coach effectively and lead with passionStrong collaboration and negotiation skills and ability to develop effective partnershipsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and effectively manage timeStrong analytical skills, problem solving skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills - highly articulate and clearProficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) along with strong computer skills
