Responsible for the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies and activities, ensuring their consistency and professionalism and adherence to corporate standards and objectives. Maintains the company website, division intranet site, and coordinates the responsibilities associated with the company's social and electronic media initiatives.Essential Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities1.Develop written materials to support the bank's external communications efforts, including all sales and marketing initiatives.2.Develop written materials to support the bank's internal communications efforts, including operational notices and activities associated with the Bravo! Initiative.3.Researches, writes, and handles placements of news releases, fact sheets, articles, and other background materials necessary for communicating corporate messages to the general public as well as the client base.4.Acts as a liaison between the news media and key authorized personnel to manage the coordination of press conferences and interviews.5.Advises and assists financial center managers on ideas for publicity, special events, promotions, and community involvement.6.Develops copy for sales support and marketing collateral materials and ensures its compliance.7.Manages all communication activities associated with the bank's digital merchandising and electronic messaging systems.8.Write and arrange publicity for branch promotions, considerations, employee announcements, and special events, including photography assignments.9.Maintain accurate, up-to-date publicity files and photos on all key bank personnel and directors.10.Coordinate all activities related to maximizing the benefits of company sponsorships and donations, including but not limited to advertising placements, banners, and volunteer recruitment.11.Coordinate the development and implementation of all website functions and activities, including new features and products, forms, and structure.12.Serve as the key point of contact with internal information technology personnel for the purpose of ensuring website functionality, security, and compliance.13.Coordinate all social media and networking activities, such as facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.14.Maintains a strong understanding of leading edge internet technologies through industry periodicals, seminars, and related courses.15.Assists other Marketing Division personnel with other activities as assigned by the Vice President, Director of Marketing.16.Satisfactorily complete required annual BSA/AML training appropriate for this position by achieving a score of 70% and appropriately apply this knowledge to daily activities and responsibilities.17.Responsible for understanding the Bank's BSA/AML Policy and following the provisions of the policy, specifically understanding that any suspicious activity must be reported to the BSA Officer immediately.18.Above requirements are representative of minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the ability and aptitude to perform each duty proficiently, and comply with PeoplesBank policies and procedures, as outline in the Employee Handbook.Educational & Other Requirements1.Requires a four year degree in communications with a focus in marketing and/or public relations.2.Strong writing, decision-making, influencing, and communication skills are necessary. 3.Have a key understanding of the financial services industry and its related terms as well as the local business, consumer, and media communities.4.Must have knowledge of website development and maintenance and social media practices.5.Extensive knowledge of the entire MS Office Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, JAVA, HTML and other software necessary to complete tasks.6.Must be bondable.
