Overview: Marketing and Communications Operations SpecialistRESPONSIBLE TO: Marketing Program ManagerDIVISION/DEPART: Marketing & CommunicationsSUPERVISES: N/AFLSA STATUS: ExemptINCUMBENT: N/A Responsibilities: 1. Provide operational support for the Goodwill Industries International (GII) marketing and communications (MarCom) department2. Coordinate and support engagement and collaboration between the GII MarCom group and Goodwill member organizations to advance mission and brand awareness locally3. Support the brand management team in the development, distribution and implementation of ongoing public-facing national marketing and brand initiatives SPECIFIC DUTIES:GII MarCom Operations. Provide ongoing development and coordination of key internal communications processes and project management. Coordinate data collection and tracking of priority campaigns and initiatives for ongoing evaluation of performance for continuous improvement. Create and maintain metrics reports on campaign engagement, effectiveness, and business impact. Provide administrative support, as needed, for the Chief Marketing Officer and brand management team, including scheduling support and processing of invoices Goodwill Member Engagement. Coordinate, edit and disseminate regular communications to the Goodwill Marcom community, including email newsletters and surveys. Coordinate and support key Goodwill member engagement touchpoints including virtual consultations, webinars, trainings, and affinity groups in order to support the optimization of marketing and communications efforts in local markets. Provide general support to the brand management team in organizing and enhancing member engagement for the GII MarCom department Marketing and Brand Development. Support development and distribution of GII-produced marketing campaigns, including seasonal retail, donor, and mission awareness campaigns. Provide day-to-day coordination of GII's social influencer engagement strategy, including research, relationship management and operational support. Provide administration and coordination support to ongoing brand management and development initiatives. Coordinate and support development of brand and creative assets, including Goodstock, GII's custom and proprietary photography stock library. Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems including intranet and digital asset management (DAM) platform RELATIONSHIPS:Internal: Frequent interaction with all GII departments and staff, including close collaboration with Strategic Partnerships Activation TeamExternal: Frequent contact with marketing, public relations, and advertising / media staff in for-profit and non-profit organizations and media outletsGII Members: Frequent interaction with member marketing and communications, retail, mission, sustainability, and other Goodwill member teams, as necessary, to perform job requirementsGovernment Officials: N/A Qualifications: . Demonstrated writing skills and a strong understanding of communications concepts and practices, including marketing, advertising, public relations, and digital/social platforms. Superior project coordination and interpersonal skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to operate with minimal supervision and demonstrated self-initiative. Excellent organization skills: planning, ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and adhere to schedules. Strong problem solving and process improvement skills. Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe Creative products. Ability and willingness to learn necessary technology. Ability to travel as necessary EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.EXPERIENCE: One to three years of experience in marketing, communications, advertising or a related field.DECISION MAKING: Ability to make frequent ethical, member-friendly and brand consistent decisions. Identification of problems and development of solutions.SUPERVISION: No direct reportsPHYSICAL EFFORT: Sedentary, lifting 10 lbs. maximum. Walking or standing is required only occasionally. Requires long hours at a computer. Occasional travel.EMOTIONAL EFFORT: Work environment usually hectic with occasional periods of high stress. Will need a positive attitude to meet daily challenges.
