Description Robert Half is looking for a VP of Finance and Accounting to join our client! The VP of Finance and Accounting must have strong leadership, management, technology, accounting, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. The VP of Finance and Accounting will oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, banking, credit, leasing, insurance, payroll, tax and treasury and manage a global team of 7. He/she is responsible for the accurate reporting of the Company's financial status for each business unit on a monthly basis and weekly reporting to the executive team. This may be the role for you if you are an experienced VP of Finance and Accounting looking for a challenging role at an established company.How you will make an impact- Ensures the financial integrity of the accounting department and systems - Oversees accounting department, budget preparation, business insurance, and internal audit functions- Preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, cash reports, balance sheets and any other financial reporting requested by the Executive Team - Develops credibility for the accounting group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, job costs, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist the President and owners, as well as department managers in performing their responsibilities- Presents quarterly & annual financial results to executive team during regularly scheduled executive briefings- Oversees internal and external audit functions, ensuring implementation or corrective action relative to audit findings- Oversees the business (financial) software applications and licensing for Sage / Intacct (critical requirement)- Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures- Manage the hiring, training, and retention of accounting and finance staff- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts- Compare monthly operating results against budget- Manage daily operations of the finance and accounting department- Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers- Oversee the preparation of all financial reports- Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models- Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance- Take ownership of insurance and risk management- Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions- Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives- Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federalThe ideal candidate for this VP of Finance & Accounting role will have 15+ years experience of hands on accounting and finance from a TECHNOLOGY SERVICES company, BS in Accounting (CPA+), Sage Intacct software and strong supervisory skills.
