Description Robert Half is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an essential part of a company's rapidly growing team. Your responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Clerk will include matching, batching, and coding invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks. This dynamic department will provide you with opportunities for career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk role will be situated in the Gambrills, Maryland area and is a full-time employment. * Processes invoices for approval and payment, ensures vendor and supplier invoices are valid and are properly approved by appropriate personnel * Properly codes approved invoices for data entry, ensures payee information is correct, including amounts and other pertinent information * Performs data entry and spreadsheet management. * Reconciles Corporate credit card statements and activity. * Maintains accounts payable files and records. * Responds to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; assists with discrepancy reconciliation. * Verifies vendor statements. * Prints and routes accounts payable reports. * Assists with monthly closings, journal entries, and bank statement reconciliation. Ensures that AP detail report is reconciled to the Ledger. * Assists with related special projects as needed. * Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Requirements * One-year certificate from college or technical school, six months to one-year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Acute attention to detail. * Strong organizational skills. * Commitment to excellence and high standards. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. * Intermediate level Excel experience. * Construction Industry experience preferred. * Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
