Document Retention Specialist - Commercial Loans

Overview: This position is located at our 23 East King Street office in Lancaster, PA. The hours are 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday. Responsible for performing a variety of skilled and confidential administrative activities related to post-closing due diligence and document review for retention of all legal documents and required information necessary for commercial lending transactions, including new loans and/or modifications of existing credit facilities. Responsible for accurately performing post-closing duties and may assist with pre-closing functions that require an expanded level of commercial lending and loan documentation knowledge. Responsibilities: Responsible for efficiently performing skilled and confidential commercial lending functions in a timely manner to support Commercial Banking. Responsible to adhere and independently stay informed of all, banking regulations, regulatory compliance requirements and ensure compliance with established corporate policies and commercial lending procedures.Works independently and effectively manages and prioritizes a high volume of work as assigned. Able to understand complex loan structures, complex collateral and know when to seek guidance from in-house counsel to identify legal documents and ensure accurate retention in corporate imaging system. Maintains the ability to recognize when independent decisions can be made and remaining aware of when to involve higher supervisory or management level staff.Accurately follows established internal operating procedures to perform a variety of commercial lending administrative functions, including but not limited to, monitoring the receipt of loan documents after closing, confirming documents are properly executed, reviewing documents to validate against transmittal sheets prepared by internal staff or from the engaged attorney. Communicates with the appropriate parties to obtain any outstanding required documentation.Responsible for conducting a self-review of work completed to ensure a high level of accuracy. Performs a quality review of co-worker's scanning assignments to ensure documents are properly imaged and identifies issues requiring an accurate resolution when needed.As assigned, assists with pre-closing functions and uses knowledge of commercial documentation to accurately internally prepare new loan and/or modifications and add collateral requests.Serves as a resource for bank lenders by providing advice and information regarding commercial loans and answering inquiries that may require further research. Qualifications: Required EducationAssociate Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: related field. Preferred Experience2 or more years processing or banking. : This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager.
