Overview: Aveshka is a rapidly growing national security solutions firm with clients across the homeland, law enforcement, public health, defense, and intelligence communities. As an entrepreneurial company, we are looking for a highly motivated individual who will be an instrumental part of driving Aveshka's future growth. Responsibilities: The Vice President of Finance and Controller shall report to the Executive Vice President, Finance and Transformation, and be responsible for: handling day-to-day finance operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, customer invoicing, vendor payments, payroll and labor, and treasury services;managing financial monitoring and projections associated with contracts/projects;leading the Finance Team;defining and implementing key performance indicators and corporate financial objectives, facilitating measurement of those objectives, and reporting results to the executive team; preparing forecasts of future results based on pipeline reviews; participating in planning processes;monitoring direct labor utilization and offering recommendations to resolve;monitoring indirect rate actuals versus provisional; recommending improvements;offering continuous recommendations to executives for improvement of financial performance;ensuring availability of adequate and appropriate equipment, staffing, and systems; recommends additional staffing and services; advance approves all indirect procurementsensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including tax laws, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and cost accounting standards (CAS);ensure ISO 9001 requirements are being met in the finance areamaintaining knowledge of developments and trends in finance, including technological advances;facilitating implementation of new systems and major modifications of existing systems to reduce downtime; andcoordinating with outside tax preparers and ensuring timely filings and payments;coordinating external audits (eg, annual financial, ISO 9001);executing contractual documents as required;supporting proposal efforts when called upon and reviewing final pricing; performing other duties as required. Qualifications: Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related fieldRequired Experience:20+ years of experience in financial management required10+ years of managerial experience Required Clearance:None required
