We are seeking a Junior and Senior Auditor to provide accounting and consulting services to our federal clients located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Job Responsibilities As a Junior Auditor, you will assist our clients with audit observations, findings and evaluating the federal client's organization to recommend improvements of processes, systems, personnel, and internal controls. You will utilize the clients' policies, regulations, and standards and weigh those against the audit findings in areas of non-conformance. Junior Auditor responsibilities: Perform audits to validate Cost Accounting Standards compliance Review audit reports, financial statements, Government-owned property, business systems, business process internal controls, allowable costs, and supporting financial documentation to identify audit impediments, such as lack of effective controls or substantial non-compliance with laws and regulations, and provide recommendations Review agency's policies, procedures, practices, and internal controls relating to accounting, estimating, and procurement; the evaluation management policies and processes impacting costs Research fiscal statutes, regulations, and oversight guidance Junior Auditor requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related Finance, or another business-related degree 1+ years' experience supporting federal civilian agency audits or audit support Demonstrated specialized experience with federal financial management business processes and financial systems Demonstrated experience conducting audit liaison duties to include management of requests and quality control of items Prior financial statement audit experience as an external financial statement auditor Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment with demonstrated experience working at a rapid pace and responsive Strong writing skills and attention to detail needed Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Yellow Book Proficiency is a plus Experience with Incurred Cost Submissions schedules is also a plus.
