Travel Required: 10-25% Public Trust: None Requisition Type: Regular GDIT has an opportunity for a Field Service Technician, BCCS in Arifjan, Kuwait. This position requires someone with a current and active Secret Clearance. Primarily supports Mission Command/Tactical Mission Command (MC/TMC) including the following systems: Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Battle Command Common Services Server (BCCS) and Global Command and Control System-Army (GCCS-A). RESPONSIBILITIES: Employ systems engineering management expertise in the area of fault management, configuration management, performance management, and security management. Plan and ensure disaster recovery of various operating systems is conducted as needed. Coordinate with local network authority to ensure assigned C5ISR Families of Systems are in compliance with local security policy and configuration standards. Assist Information Assurance staff with all documentation required for accreditation and any other associated directives and regulations. Responsible for managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools. Ensure highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifies possible solutions, and works with developers to implement those fixes. Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: AA/AS, 3+ years experience. (2 years of additional work experience may be substituted for an AA/AS Degree) Must have a current and active Secret clearance Security+ CE (Current) Experience with Microsoft Windows Client/Server software, Linux server, VMWare applications. Working knowledge of client and server software interaction including web-based application design, support, and integration. Willing to travel (Unaccompanied).
