Location HQ 3500 S Clark Street Arlington, VA 22202 Employment Type Full-Time Experience Level Management Experience Finance, Accounting & Tax Reference number 142144 Target Start Date 09/05/2022 Summary The Senior Manager - Finance (Treasury) is responsible for all matters related to incoming and outgoing payments as well as all cash management. In addition, this role is the main contact and coordinator for all financial topics including but not limited to all financial projects, financial reporting, and treasury management, and will collaborate closely with different stakeholders within and outside the company. **Telework Policy allows for up to 5 days of work from home a week depending on business needs and manager discretion.** What You'll Do Design, optimize, implement, and maintain standardized payment processes for incoming and outgoing payments to ensure cost-efficiency and minimize risk Oversee daily cash management such as reconciliation of bank accounts and cash disposition Supervise and develop staff in areas of outgoing and incoming payment and support all cash management activities and support in daily tasks Develop and oversee national guidelines and workflows for incoming and outgoing payments, short-term investments and liquidity planning as well as cash management, under consideration of global group policies, US regulations, and market standards and innovations Coordinate and lead meetings with external partners and potential partners and negotiate contracts for all services related to incoming and outgoing payments Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports including but not limited to status of contract negotiations, available liquidity and liquidity needs forecasting, cash and card payment analysis Create complex cost and scenario analysis and present results to board members and other stakeholders Ensure the utilization of internal controls and standardized procedures for monitoring, processing and releasing payments to minimize risk and prevent fraud Provide visual modeling of outgoing and incoming payment procedures and cash management activities Develop excellent relationships with vendors and banking partners Lead projects that involve multiple internal and external stakeholders and make critical decisions regarding operational issues Manage and support all topics related to the supplier dynamic discounting platform Recommend selection of external partners and contract terms Supervise, train, and guide a team of 4 or more employees Assuring the administration of and compliance with all financial agreements, including all reporting and other obligations derived from them Participating in national and international projects, producing business requirements, performing business system tests and technical approvals in the course of projects and system releases Perform other duties as assigned What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related field required 5 + years of experience in related field required In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and 4+ years of experience in corporate retail will meet requirements listed above Knowledge and understanding of the principles of corporate finance, accounting, financial statement analysis, US financial market environment, available payment forms and short-term investment options, cash-in-transit, card payments Analytical problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task and be proactive in a fast-paced environment Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to grasp new concepts and deliver high quality results under tight deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (ability to prepare structured and concise PowerPoint presentations and excel spreadsheets) Experience with SAP FI/ SAP Retail preferred Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or MBA preferred CFA, CPA certifications preferred What You'll Receive At Lidl, we know that in order for our people to do their best, they must be at their best.
