Our client, a privately-held, large company in Frederick, MD is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to their growing team! This is a brand new role due to growth as the company has been around for over 60 years and continues to keep growing with multiple acquisitions!! They are very employee focused and will work closely with the CFO and members of the executive leadership team. It is a very collaborative team environment with top of the line technology that is always improving as the company is very innovative and forward thinking. They have aa large national presence and continue to expand into into new states so this person can move around in the company and around the country! This is great opportunity for someone who can cultivate relationships, excellent communication, and presentation skills. This position is hybrid working 3 days/week in the office, 2 days from home. Job Duties: Participate in all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations and monthly closings Participate in all financial reporting throughout the company utilizing Sage Intacct, Excel/SQL and Tableau based reporting Analyze and lead monthly review of financial results for various geographical areas Serve as a Regional Accounting Lead to provide accounting support for day-to-day transactions Collaborate with Operational Leaders as well as the Executive Team on various projects as needed Monitor and control daily inventory movement as well revenue and expense accrual Establish, monitor, and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Review and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and budgets including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow projections Assist with compiling data and reports for auditors, tax accountants and regulatory and insurance agencies Evaluate best practices, identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in accounting process Qualifications and Requirements: BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration 1-3+ years accounting experience public and/or private accounting Open to recent accounting grads! Advanced Excel skills Sage Intaact software experience is a plus! #CFSAUG2022
