We're currently looking for a Staff Accountant responsible for all aspects of revenue accounting, including proper revenue recognition, maintenance of revenue, breakage estimates, deferred revenue, and returns accounts. This position will reconcile all aspects of revenue and maintain the Company's refunds and customer credits liabilities. This role will provide subject-matter expertise and review revenue accounting transactions / contracts. Our ideal candidate is proactive and will contribute to maintaining and improving revenue recognition and day-to-day revenue-related functions. Responsibilities: Discuss and apply the ASC 606 accounting standardHandle month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation for all areas assignedConduct monthly analysis of GAAP revenuesResponsible for account reconciliations for revenue-related accounts and any other assigned areasPrepare annual related audit schedules and flux analysis for revenue-related itemsReview all revenue-related accounts to ensure all transactions have been properly recordedEnhance processes and ensure internal controls are followedEngage in face-to-face and telephonic communication with functional business leadersAssist in any analyses and investigations as needed in preparation for meetings with Sr. Management (ie, Op Reviews, Annual Budget, Strategic Plan, etc.)Assist others in the group as needed Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance required1-3+ years of progressive responsibility in accounting and financial reporting1+ years' experience working for a Big 4 company preferredExperienced with ASC 606 accounting standard preferredCPA or CPA Candidate PreferredStrong GL accounting skillsStrong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reportingAbility to develop, improve, document, and follow processesAbility to provide high quality deliverables while meeting deadlinesStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust be proactive and able to take on projects from idea through completionExcellent project management, organizing and planning skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionUnderstands the team concept and has a strong desire to be a contributing teammateWorking knowledge of NetSuite is desirableExpert/Advanced MS Excel knowledgeSedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
