A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant in Bethesda, Maryland (MD).Responsibilities include: * Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling various General Ledger Accounts; Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements * Senior Accountant will analyze financial reports * Spot errors and suggest ways to improve process, efficiency, and outcomes * Forecast and plan for future needs * Reconciles select balance sheet accounts monthly in accordance with GAAP * Maintains fixed assets and prepares depreciation reports for Association * Senior Accountant maintains schedule of leases including roll forward * Provides insight into collections and trends * Prepares monthly journal entries as assigned * Senior Accountant assists in preparation of annual audit and ensure compliance with all internal processes * To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed * Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
