Assistant Business Office Manager The George Mason University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics invites applicants for an Assistant Business Office Manager. Responsibilities: Duties include assisting Intercollegiate Athletics coaches and staff through the Business Services Department in the following areas:Individual and Team TravelManage the full life cycle of travel for designated athletic teams and coaches recruiting;Secure hotel rooms for game officials; andProcess travel arrangements for interview candidates.Office ManagementPerform a variety of duties to ensure smooth departmental operations;As technology coordinator, purchase equipment and accessories, maintain hardware inventory, and assist staff with technology issues and problems;Telecom coordinator;Print services;Mail and delivery services;Records management;Maintain Mason People Finder and GoMason.com staff directory; andAssist with volunteer onboarding.Physical InventoryOversee all Intercollegiate Athletics and Field House inventory reporting, including equipment, computers and vehicles; andOversee the department's surplus process.Required Qualifications:General administrative office experience;Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills;Basic computer skills (knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and data entry);Demonstrated skills in providing internal and external customer service;Ability to work with frequent interruptions;Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse community;Ability to maintain confidentiality;Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks; andWillingness to be flexible with tasks and work schedule.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience;Experience working in a fast-paced higher education and/or Division 1 Intercollegiate Athletics office; andWorking knowledge of NCAA rules.
