Serves as an Affordability Program Analyst (Mid) and liaison for International Partner and FMS Customer requirements, based at the F-35 Joint Fighter Program Office (JPO), Arlington, VA. This position supports the Affordability Directorate as part of a multi-disciplined team to develop, analyze, and evaluate potential solutions while supporting enterprise-wide cost reduction initiatives. This includes development of potential courses of action, based on analysis of cost, schedule, performance, risk, and acquisition strategies of potential initiatives

Essential Job Functions:

Performs program management, technical, or business case analyses as required;

Analyzes program requirements, project status, budgets, and schedules.

Responsible to collect, complete, organize, analyze, and interpret technical data and financial information relating to aircraft acquisition and product programs while ensuring complains with applicable acquisition programmatic and financial DoD, Service, and JPO policies, procedures, and practices.

Maintains liaison with key personnel within the JPO International Community, as well as within the program offices and functional areas of the JPO.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

BS or BA degree in Business, or Management. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An AS or AA degree and an additional 4 years of experience; or an additional 8 years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.

Current Secret Clearance.

At least 6 years of experience in defense acquisition program management related to weapon systems acquisition and life-cycle management; and a minimum of 3 years out of 6 years of recent work experience related to international acquisition programs.

Demonstrated knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of system acquisition to plan, organize, and coordinate critical aspects of the development, production, deployment, and sustainment of systems, subsystems, and equipment.

Demonstrated knowledge of the system equipment life-cycle phases and the documentation, analyses, and reviews associated with those phases.

Proficiency in in Microsoft Office products, specifically, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a high-pace environment.

Excellent briefing, interpersonal and/or diplomatic skills.
